The 2025 Raymond James Canadian University Men’s Rugby Championship (CUMRC) takes place November 12-16, 2025, hosted by École de technologie supérieure (ÉTS) at Claude-Robillard Sports Complex in Montreal, Quebec
The eight participating teams are:
Dalhousie Tigers (Atlantic)
École de technologie supérieur (ÉTS) Piranhas (RSEQ / Host)
Montréal Carabins (RSEQ)
University of Guelph (OUA)
Queen’s University (OUA)
UBC Okanagan Heat (Prairies)
University of British Columbia (BC)
University of Victoria (BC)

The teams will be competing for the Spence McTavish Trophy, named after a long-time UBC player, coach, general manager, and university rugby supporter. The (ÉTS) Piranhas enter the tournament as the defending champions after defeating Queen’s University in the 2024 gold medal game, ending the UBC Thunderbirds’ run of three consecutive national titles in 2021, 2022 and 2023.
