Bruce & Joanne share their story with us!!
Over the years there were several twists and turns for them both until the universe stepped in eleven years ago and said come on kids let’s get this right. Both Bruce and Joanne worked in the entertainment industry, broadcasting industry and IT. About eleven years ago they started keeping bees at their beloved Meadowlily Farm. They also started the Ontario Bee Rescue which has become very successful. They believe your passion should be your life’s work. In addition to keeping bees and the bee rescue they’ve also become a duck refuge for wayward, injured and homeless ducks. Bruce and Joanne’s Motto is: The more you help people – the better life gets! Together they enjoy sharing their love of nature and homesteading with people all over the world. Most recently this summer they bought part of the Woodleigh Replicas in Prince Edward Island and are renovating it to be a summer home now renamed Woodleigh Castles. It wasn’t until purchasing Woodleigh that Bruce and Joanne in researching their Scottish clans found out Bruce’s clan had lived in the real Glamis Castle and Joanne’s in Dunvegan Castle both are replicas on the property. They will be keeping bees there as well – actually the place came with bees! Once again the universe was showing them the way. Life’s an adventure and true love is the greatest adventure!
