STUNNING VIEWS
A lovely aerial view of Lerwick, ‘capital’ of the Shetland Isles.
In Shetland, there are great views to enjoy over Lerwick Harbour towards the island of Bressay. You can also see seabirds around the cliffs by Sumburgh Head Lighthouse and views of Lerwick Harbour, courtesy of Shetland webcams.

See amazing vistas over Lochaber and the west Highlands, from high up on the mountain of Aonach Mor with the WinterHighland-Nevis Range webcams. You can also see lovely views of the UK’s highest mountain, Ben Nevis, from the Visit Fort William webcam at Torlundy.

Over in the Cairngorms National Park, the Loch Morlich Watersports webcam captures great images of the mighty mountains across the award-winning beach and waters of beautiful Loch Morlich.
Eilean Donan Castle, Kintail, Highlands
Eilean Donan has featured in a number of movies and is one of Scotland’s most iconic castles. See the castle and views over Loch Duich towards Skye and Lochalsh with this webcam.
Aberdeen Harbour Marine Operations Centre
Over on the east coast, there are great views out to sea from Aberdeen Harbour on the Seacroft Marine webcam.
Oban and harbour at night
Take a sneaky peek at the lovely Argyll town of Oban with the North Pier Pontoons webcam, and there’s also a great view of Oban from the lighthouse webcam.
Looking over Glencorse Reservoir to the Pentland Hills beyond
Not far from Scotland’s capital city, witness lovely views over the Pentland Hills from Eastside Cottages.
Looking across Brodick Bay to Goat Fell, Isle of Arran
Nestling quietly in the Firth of Clyde, the Isle of Arran, with its mountainous north and it’s more gentle southern scenery, is quite simply Scotland in miniature. Enjoy magnificent scenes over Brodick Bay to Goat Fell, at 2,867ft, the highest peak on the island, from this Brodick-based webcam.
Millport Promenade, island of Great Cumbrae, Ayrshire
We’re staying in the Firth of Clyde, with the Mapes of Millport webcam. This provides lovely views over Newton Bay towards the Ayrshire coast from Millport, the ‘capital’ of Great Cumbrae.
WONDERFUL WILDLIFE
Spring is a wonderful time of year in Scotland, when the landscape bursts back into life and our birds and beasties return to rear their young. A number of webcams across Scotland allow you to see our incredible resident wildlife up close.
BADGERS
Stunning Caerlaverock Castle is adjacent to WWT Caerlaverock Nature Reserve
At the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust’s Caerlaverock Reserve in Dumfries & Galloway, the team puts peanuts and honey out for the badgers most evenings and sightings of these playful mammals on the ‘badger cam’ are common. There are also occasional sightings of otter, deer and foxes too.
OSPREYS

These impressive birds of prey migrate thousands of miles from West Africa to Scotland each year to raise their chicks on freshly-caught fine Scottish fish. They arrive in late March and you can see some amazing live footage of them on the Loch of the Lowes webcam, which beams pictures from Dunkeld in Highland Perthshire, and also on the Tweed Valley Osprey Project webcam at Glentress Forest in the Scottish Borders.
RED SQUIRRELS

Use the Balmoral squirrel cam to see some scampering cute red squirrels in Aberdeenshire. You might also see red squirrels and roe deer alongside a variety of small birds on the Kirroughtree Visitor Centre webcam in Dumfries & Galloway.
ZOOS AND WILDLIFE PARKS
If our resident birds and beasties are being a bit camera-shy, then you can always flick between the above webcams and those in our zoos and wildlife parks. Some of the remarkable animals in these parks may not have come from Scotland originally, but they’re surely happy to call Scotland home now.
EDINBURGH ZOO
This is one of the UK’s biggest zoos, where you’ll find a huge variety of animals being cared for. The zoo also hosts a number of webcams to allow you to see the amazing pandas, penguins, tigers and cuddly koalas.
HIGHLAND WILDLIFE PARK
Alongside an outstanding collection of wild animals, at this wildlife park in the Cairngorms National Park, including Amur tigers, polar bears, snow leopards and Scottish wildcat, you’ll find fascinating snow monkeys, sometimes known as Japanese macaque.
BLAIR DRUMMOND SAFARI & ADVENTURE PARK
This wonderful park near Stirling celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2020 and has indoor and outdoor webcams featuring their huge resident rhino’s. You can also tune into their live wildlife broadcasts – just check their Facebook page for information and the latest live broadcast videos.
SPEYSIDE WILDLIFE
This popular wildlife-watching operator, based in the Cairngorms National Park, is also broadcasting occasional live sessions via Facebook Live.
